This test is designed for those who wish to take secondary-school mathematics courses, except if they have taken and passed a placement test within the last two years.

The placement test is compulsory. It serves to evaluate learners’ knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability, trigonometry, sets, relations and functions as well as straight lines and the parabola.

The test covers all 20 courses from Secondary I to Secondary IV which is the equivalent of programs MTH-116 to MTH-436 in the youth sector.

Duration: 5 hours
Content:
The test contains 119 multiple-choice questions. The use of class notes or textbooks is discouraged. If learners cannot answer a question, they should leave it blank rather than guess at the answer.
