In keeping with the objectives of the Social Science Program of Study, SOFAD offers classroom and distance learning resources that are designed to help learners become interested in contemporary world problems and issues, develop competencies and expand their knowledge. Our learning guides and complementary multimedia resources help learners develop the following subject-specific competencies: interpret and take a position on a contemporary world problem. The social science resources contribute to learners’ general education, prepare them for their role as active members of society, and help them take a stand on social issues.
